August Bakes

August, another month that has flown by.

It was also the month Great British Bake Off retuned to our screens. Its very exciting because it means that I will be baking more and these will be more interesting!

Gin and Tonic Cake

Now, some may say I didn’t make this because there is no photographic proof. I made this for one of my best friends birthday, but I didn’t give myself enough time so I ended up rushing before heading out to her party and therefore it didn’t look great. I didn’t even get to taste it! My friend said it was nice, but a bit citrusy and couldn’t taste the Gin a lot. So thats something I will have to work on the next time I make it.

Cheese and Fruit Scones

We were having a leavers picnic at work so I opted to make scones. I made both cheese and fruit scones and well they turned out lots better than scones previously made.

Victoria Sponge

The return of The Great British Bake Off meant one thing, CAKE. Yes I made this because I wanted to watch the first episode whilst eating cake, so thats what I did. Got home from work and baked to make it happen. It was delicious even if I do say so myself.

So there we have it. What did you bake in August?

Until next time,

George x
